What Training Do We Offer?

training-white-board.jpgPersonality vs Patterns: Improving Communication, Leadership & Self-Advocacy

Don’t be fooled. What you think is personality may really be patterns – learning patterns. The way we process information influences how we communicate and engage in the world. While our learning patterns are as hardwired in us as our DNA, we can learn to control our patterns to increase the effectiveness of our communication, improve relationships both in and out of the workplace, and improve our performance and productivity.

Using an online assessment, participants identify their Use First and Avoid learning patterns and how these patterns are exhibited in their work. A review of assessment results and interactive activities serve to demonstrate how different patterns impact communication and behavior while providing clarity on how to tether, forge or intensify patterns in various situations for communication and performance success.

All participants will:

  • Gain clarity on what they need to be successful and how to adapt when situations are not ideal for them.
  • Be able to identify patterns at play in their co-workers and be better able to “meet them where they are” for improved communication, increased team alignment, and organizational success.
  • Develop the soft skills to communicate with others – learn a new approach to conflict-management; learn how to respond constructively to issues of communication and work performance that may arise between leaders/managers and staff or faculty.
  • Approach tasks and assignments based on your learning patterns – using personalized strategies provided in the assessment, participants will be able to complete challenging tasks and assignments more easily and successfully.

Leaders and managers will:

  • Supervise More Effectively – lead and supervise with greater success by understanding themselves and the people they manage.
  • Complete Effective Performance Evaluations – avoid unacceptable and inappropriate biases in their evaluations; facilitate effective evaluative conversations with an understanding of how their employees take in the world and how that affects how they do their job and what they need to be successful in their roles.
  • Identify a new strategy for better aligning employees with the appropriate roles within the organization.

  • Learn the importance of aligning employee roles with the organization mission and how to clarify for staff how their roles impact mission attainment.
